Educational project of the private school in Montequinto

Our academic program is distinguished by its innovative approach to personalizing learning processes, cultivating curiosity and intrinsic motivation in each student. We promote an environment that not only compensates for diverse educational needs, but also enhances the comprehensive development of students.

Academic Excellence

Personalization and talent development

With the support of our tutors, teachers, and educational psychology team, we tailor educational resources to each student’s needs. This approach ensures meaningful learning and promotes high motivation, creating an environment in which each student feels supported and able to reach their full potential.

Critical thinking

To foster interest and curiosity in learning, we implement strategies that develop critical and visible thinking. Our students practice essential skills such as analysis, reflection, and decision-making, which makes them more reflective and metacognitive learners. We integrate these strategies into their daily routines, thereby improving their ability to evaluate information and make decisions independently. We believe that the development of executive functions is essential at this stage, as it lays the foundation for achieving an adequate cognitive level that will prepare them for the transition to secondary school.

Scientific and mathematical learning

Our students learn mathematics applied to real-life situations, integrating deductive and creative thinking into their educational process.

Science is a fundamental element of our curriculum. Therefore, we encourage the development of innate curiosity and an interest in exploring and understanding the environment.

Music, art, and culture'

Through interdisciplinary projects, we incorporate musical, cultural, and artistic elements that allow our students to express themselves and develop their creativity.

We have our own Music Project that allows our students to reap all the cognitive development benefits implicit in music.

Technological project

We promote a safe and responsible environment for the use of technology, preparing our students to navigate an increasingly digital future with confidence and creativity.

Cooperative learning

Project-based learning is presented as an experiential methodology that empowers students to make decisions, implement, and evaluate initiatives with real-world applications. This approach integrates diverse areas of knowledge and promotes the development of essential competencies. We foster interpersonal skills and deep understanding through methods such as inquiry, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and comprehension projects.

Furthermore, cooperative learning organizes students into small groups, facilitating collaborative work to acquire concepts, develop competencies, and strengthen social skills. This dynamic enriches individual learning and also enhances collaborative learning, deepening each student’s understanding and enriching the collective experience.

Thinking strategies

To enhance students’ critical thinking and understanding of content, we implement Thinking-Based Learning strategies in the classroom. These methodologies facilitate the visualization of thinking, emotional management, and the development of motivation. We foster key skills, such as decision-making and comparison, and employ thinking routines that generate interest and promote higher-level thinking. This approach not only enriches learning but also inspires students to explore and reflect more deeply.

Preparation and submission to competitions and scholarships

To facilitate the development of acquired skills and competencies, we encourage our students to participate in external competitions in the areas of mathematics, narrative, art, oral expression, and more.

Internationalization

The only Cambridge International School group of private schools in Spain.

Our students learn to think, communicate, and work in Spanish and English within a framework of international education endorsed by the University of Cambridge and with teachers specializing in bilingual and international education.

English language immersion

We have an international faculty, experts in global and multilingual education. They train our students using methodologies and tools used in the English-speaking world with excellent results.

Starting in 5th grade, our students have priority access to our OAK International academies, located in the US, Ireland, and Switzerland, which offer a variety of quarterly, semester-long, or full-year programs.

Third language: French

We introduce French as a third language. Our goal is to develop students’ multilingual minds by boosting their language skills.

Boarding Schools

Our students have access to study abroad programs for a term, a school year, or summer camp at:

  • OAK ACADEMIES (USA, Ireland, and Switzerland)
  • American High Schools associated with our OAK Academies

Personal support for each student and family

Tutorial action plan

Our tutors, along with the guidance department, develop a program focused on supporting students, guiding them through their learning process and overall development.

Parents' School

At the school, we also offer a training space for parents, a meeting place for group reflection on the educational work being done with their children.

Positive discipline

We are pioneers in Europe in implementing the Positive Discipline Seal awarded by the American Positive Discipline Association.

We seek to help students discover the reasons and values behind rules, not the imposition of regulations.

Catholic formation

Students and their families experience being beloved children of God at school.

Comprehensive student development

Virtues program

We develop our students’ willpower and emotions by developing virtues, which we develop through classroom-based training programs and activities tailored to the different grade levels.

We focus on a series of virtues that we consider fundamental to their development, dedicating each term to two of them: order, friendship, respect, generosity, effort, obedience, strength, responsibility, gratitude, sincerity, joy, and humility.

Virtues and emotional education program

We train our students in their will and emotions to make them mature people, in accordance with their age.

Differentiated education with mixed learning environments

We combine the two approaches, taking the best of each: we respond better to the specific aspects and needs of each student, with separate classrooms in Primary and Secondary education, mixed teaching in Infant and Baccalaureate, and a natural environment of coexistence in the different facilities and activities of the center.

It allows each student to be better guided according to their developmental stage, needs, abilities, etc., thereby improving their personal development and academic performance.

It fosters a climate of equality, respect and freedom that encourages participation and decision-making.
